Our eight month series of classes to prepare you to take the Architectural Record Exam is now open for general registration.  Visit the class schedule to make sure it fits your schedule.  Classes start September 22 with Site Planning and Design.  Registration is for the entire series.  Space is limited; register early as this course often sells out.

NBBJ's Seattle Center Fifth Avenue North Garage is featured as this month's AIA Seattle/DJC Project of the Month.  Projects of the Month are juried from the Honor Awards pool.
 
Olson Kundig Architects' Principal Kirsten R. Murray AIA is serving on the jury for the AIA Western Mountain Region 2010 Design Awards, taking place August 19th through 21st in Salt Lake City. 
 
The Wards Cove Marina Warehouse project by atelierjones is featured in the August issue of Architectural Record.
 
The Cathcart site project designed by NAC Architecture is the featured project on Fast Company's Co Design coverage of the national AIA CAE award winners.

Advocacy and Public Affairs 
 
 
September 14:  SAVE THE DATE!  Carbon Neutral Community Forum, 6-8PM, Council Chambers, City Hall.  Part of the Carbon Neutral Seattle Initiative.  AIA Seattle is presenting as part of the Energy Policy Group.
 
Public Hearings on the new Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) will be held on September 10, 2010 in Spokane and September 24, 2010 in Olympia.  Latest information here.
